The other thing you need is a hypothesis, your learned guess about what the answer to the question is. You become learned by reading research articles. Once you have a question and a hypothesis, you can write your introduction. In your introduction, you will tell how you developed your question and how you came up with your hypothesis. This typically involves talking about (and citing) those research articles you read.

Then comes the Methods section. The Methods section details the experiment you intend to conduct. You have to tell what type of design you plan to use, what kind of subjects you plan to study, what the independent and dependent variables are, and what kind of statistic you’re going to use to analyze your data and why you’re going to use that statistic.

You won’t have any data, so you cannot write a Results section or a Discussion (or Conclusions) section. However, you can discuss what the data would look like or what the statistic would reveal that would support your hypothesis.
