Assessment! Serving as a student nurse was a challenging yet fulfilling experience for me. This was my first time to have a feel of the clinical setting. Under an RN’s direction, I was involved in the typical roles of a nurse, including medication administration, patient monitoring, medical records management, and patient education. Prior to the placement, I was a bit anxious about my nursing capabilities; I was not sure I would be the best nurse as I have always desired.
