[ANSWER]MSN5150: Advanced Pathophysiology
TASK DESCRIPTION
Advanced Pathophysiology
COURSE DESCRIPTION :
This course focuses on developing an advanced knowledge base of pathophysiology across the lifespan. Principles of biochemistry, molecular biology and nutrition are applied to disease processes.
STUDENT LEARNING OUTCOMES :
- Evaluate the concepts of cellular biology and altered cellular and tissue biology for their implications to disease management
- Distinguish knowledge of normal physiology and pathologic alterations across the lifespan that are expressed as diseases of organs and systems.
- Relate environmental factors to genetically linked diseases
- Outline life-style changes related to the prevention, restoration, and/or modification of disease processes
- Analyze current research findings with evidence-based guidelines for the management of selected diseases
- Compare information from nursing, other disciplines, and the liberal arts and sciences to make complex decisions independently and collaboratively when practicing at an advanced level
